Grove City Borough has a wonderful system of parks and neighborhood playgrounds. If you live within the borough, chances are there is a playground within easy walking distance of your home.

Grove City Memorial Park

The main entrance to Grove City Memorial Park is located on West Main Street. This community park features a public swimming pool with a separate wading pool for toddlers and changing facilities; basketball courts; a playground; restroom facilities; a walking trail; a gazebo; several pavilions for gatherings and picnics; a duck pond with dock; a 9-hole disc golf course; and baseball/softball fields.

Current Armstrong Customers can log in to the Memorial Park WiFi with their ZoomInternet e-mail and password.

GCMP is host to a number of community events throughout the year, including Strawberry Days in June and the Scarecrows in the Park in October, as well car shows.

The park also features Grove City Borough’s honor roll and war memorials to commemorate those who have fought in various US wars.

2024 Memorial Park Pool Hours and Fees

Pool Season: June 7, 2024 – August 18, 2024

Monday thru Sunday – 1:00-6:00 PM (Weather permitting)

Daily Admission: $5 per person

Individual Season Pass:  $45 – Can be purchased at the Memorial Park Pool House

Family Season Passes: $90  – Can be purchased at the Memorial Park Pool House

Children under the age of 2 – free

Seniors age 65 and older – free

No refunds are issued.  In the event of bad weather a rain check will be issued.

Grove City Market in the Park 

The Market offers fresh produce right off the farm, as well as homebaked goods and other handcrafted items. The Market is held every Thursday from 3-6PM in Memorial Park from May-October.

Playgrounds

Rainey Avenue Playground in Ward 1 — Located at the intersection of Rainey Avenue and Summit Street, this playground features a basketball hoop and play equipment.

Joseph D. Monteleone, Jr. Youth Festival Park in Ward 1 — Located downtown in Olde Town Grove City, this park features a large gazebo for events. To reserve the park for a group event, please see our Reservations page.

Greenwood Drive Playground in Ward 2 — Located at the end of Greenwood Drive, this playground features play equipment and a pavilion for picnics.

Hunter Farm in Ward 2 — Located at the end of Greenwood Drive, this area features a paved walking and biking trail and soccer fields.  The Hunter Farm recreational area can also be accessed from North Liberty Road.

Union Street Playground in Ward 3 — Located at the corner of Gilmore Street and Union Street, this playground features a basketball hoop, play equipment, and benches.

McConnell Street Playground in Ward 3 — Located at the corner of McConnell Street and Dale Street, this fenced-in playground features a basketball hoop and play equipment.

Terrace Avenue Playground in Ward 4 — Located at the corner of Terrace Avenue and West Washington Boulevard, this playground features a basketball hoop, play equipment, and a bench.

Stewart Avenue Playground in Ward 5 — Located at the end of Stewart Avenue, this fenced-in playground features a basketball hoop, play equipment, benches, and a pavilion for picnics.
