12/28/2009-CHRISTMAS TREES can be disposed of in two ways: by taking the tree to the yard waste facility at the end of Greenwood Drive, or by taking the tree to any of the borough playgrounds.
Do not leave trees by the curb in front of your house. Tri-County Industries does not pick up trees as part of their garbage service and the borough crews will not begin collecting yard waste until the spring.

Please keep sidewalks clear and safe for pedestrians.
Do not shovel, plow, or snowblow snow onto the streets or alleys. It is illegal to do so and it creates dangerous driving conditions. It also clogs the storm water draining system.

If you would like your leaves picked up by Public Works employees, please rake them to the edge of the curb. Do not rake leaves onto the street. Not only is it illegal, it also creates a dangerous environment for drivers in the borough.

Grove City Borough Council took action at their August 17th regular meeting to renew opposition toward plans to toll Interstate 80. The Council hopes other communities across the state will join them in opposition. Mayor Randy Riddle commented “The tolling of I-80 will put Grove City and Mercer County at an economic disadvantage to other areas of the state”. To aid other communities wanting to express their opposition, a sample copy of a Resolution is attached. Any community wishing to formally adopt the resolution is welcome to use the sample. Don’t forget to mail copies of the adopted resolution to your various state and federal elected representatives as well as any state associations.
